Custom Shoes Finishing Touches

While someone can instantly upgrade their favorite pair of sneakers with just a clean new pair of laces, there is a large and ever-growing community of people who customize their entire shoe. They do this through painting, dying, and even reconstructing a shoe with new materials, and then use their favorite Lace Lab Laces as the finishing touch to the 1-of-1 sneakers. These hand painted Oakland A’s themed Nike Air Max Athletics are certain to be a fan favorite at the Oakland Coliseum. @shoesbyjar painted this pair in team colors with dual logos on the side, custom tongue tags, and finished off with Gold Flat Lace Lab Laces.

A completely reconstructed Air Jordan 1, hand crafted and sewn together from hand picked materials to create a truly unique design. The mix of smooth leather, textured leather, and an iridescent scaly material, creates a design that takes more than a few seconds to really appreciate. To complete this design, @moonlit.customs added Pink Jordan Replacement Laces to add contrast to the shoe as well as match the sockliner that peaks out while the shoes are being worn.

White laces just weren’t the move for @taicustomkicks when it came to the AJ1 Low. After painting select panels with a slick blue/purple gradient that is reminiscent of a midnight sky, he painted lighting across the same panels that literally seems to be glowing. He completed this shoe by adding some Purple Off White Style Lace Lab Laces that match the design perfectly.

These Nike Air Jordan 1’s are sure to be different than the next pair you see walking down the street. Painted to create an almost weathered and rustic aesthetic, @thedyelab773 incorporated a range of colors from red, rose gold, silver, and black. To bring the design together and add a final “pop”, Gold Luxury Leather Laces by Lace Lab were thrown on - a decision that we strongly agree with.
