Aglets burst open

I really REALLY wanted to like these, the leather feel and semblance of quality truly felt luxurious, however two weeks in and the silver tips were already beginning to crack open. I suspect it may be due to the internal pressure of the leather expanding and bending the aglet open from the inside, or perhaps it was not glued tight enough in the first place. I also had the unfortunate realization that the returns policy states "Leather Laces & laces with pre-installed metal lace tips are non-refundable" which makes me wonder if this has always been a known issue from the onset. For the price I paid I wish these lasted longer.
